In her TED talk, "The Power of Vulnerability," Brené Brown talks about the common view that vulnerability is weakness. Vulnerability, which she defines as emotional exposure without the ability to control the outcome, is actually the strongest indicator of courage.
If you, a mother-doctor, are strong and healthy, your patients, family members, and dependents will also be strong and healthy. If you can be brave and ask for help, so too will you model that bravery for your loved ones.
You are not a stone.
You want it all.
Love.
Joy.
Creativity.
Belonging.
Connection.
You can have it all. But it all starts with vulnerability.

I do my best to model vulnerability in medicine - I don’t think I really saw it in my training.
